In the first three quarters of this year, Jiangsu ports exported 2.771 million printers worth US $200million, an increase of 1.9 times and a decrease of 60% over the same period last year (the same below). The main characteristics of its export 12. Stress control accuracy: 1% better than the indicated value:

first, almost all of them were exported in the form of processing trade

II. It is mainly exported to the European Union, the United States and Mexico. In the first three quarters, Jiangsu Port exported 695000, 650000 and 457000 printers to the European Union, the United States and Mexico respectively, an increase of 1.3 times, 1.1 times and 561.8 times respectively, accounting for 65% of the total printer exports

III. The export of inkjet printers increased sharply, and the export of laser printers decreased sharply. In the first three quarters, Jiangsu Port exported 2525000 inkjet printers, an increase of 136.2 times, accounting for 91.1% of the total export, while only 132000 laser printers were exported, a decrease of 82%

IV. The average export price dropped significantly. In the first three quarters, the average export price of printer at Jiangsu port was 72.2 USD/set, down 86.5%

v. all exports are from foreign-invested enterprises

since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu port has launched the measurement and control system: the main reasons for the substantial growth of printing machine exports are as follows:

first, overseas manufacturers have accelerated the transfer of production bases to China. At present, HP, Epson, Lexmark and other world-renowned multinational companies have landed in China one after another, and three major printer and consumable production bases have been formed in China's Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Fuzhou Xiamen coastal areas. China has an annual output of more than 30million printers, becoming the world's largest printer manufacturer

II. Mexico's tariff reduction has stimulated China's products to accelerate their entry into the market. 1. The loading shaft should be flexible in its market. In December2004, Mexico reduced the average tariff to non FTA countries from 16% to 13%, thus promoting the rapid entry of our printers into the Mexican market

it is worth noting that the development of China's printer industry still faces four severe challenges:

first, China's printers lack core technology, and the printer industry is at the end of the global industrial chain. In the global industrial division system, China's printer manufacturers are basically engaged in assembly production and are at the end of the industrial chain. Except for the two low-tech and low value-added links in raw materials and assembly processing, which are participated by China, other high-tech and high value-added links are controlled by developed countries

II. The increase of printer export volume and the decrease of printer price are easy to cause trade friction. While the export quantity of printers is rising, their export prices have plummeted all the way, which is very likely to lead to foreign anti-dumping investigations and other trade frictions

III. The competition is becoming increasingly fierce, and the development is facing a bottleneck. From the perspective of the global printer market, the trend of product homogenization has been strengthened, the competition is fierce, and the profit has declined. However, due to the lack of comprehensive control over technology and products, the small scale of the printer industry in China, coupled with the market erosion of counterfeit compatible consumables, the development bottleneck is very prominent

IV. it is difficult for domestic enterprises to enter the printer supporting industry chain. More than 80% of the enterprises supporting printer export enterprises are wholly foreign-owned enterprises. These enterprises generally enter China with host machine manufacturers, forming a relatively complete production chain in the printer industry. It is difficult for state-owned and private enterprises to enter its supporting industrial chain, which affects the driving effect of foreign investment on the progress of China's printer industry
